With banjo, mandolin, dobro, double bass, snare drum, guitar and blues harp, the Cologne band naturally sounds like solid country at first. However, the young thoroughbred musicians create a sound that not only gets into your heart and legs, but also builds a bridge between folk, country and pop that puts the song at the center. Jost Schiefer (vocals/guitar), Sven Jungbeck (mandolin/dobro), Markus Callejon (banjo), Johann May (double bass) and Nico Stallmann (drums) make the fact that the five guys can play properly seem secondary when they sing in several voices (band plus audience) about love, death and whiskey. The band's diverse roots, which range from punk rock to country, blues, soul, gypsy swing and Irish folk to jazz, can be sensed like a good whiskey without overpowering the overall impression.

Singer/songwriter Julia Zech aka Lightning Jules has found her musical home in American bluegrass and roots music. To follow her passion, she has battled her way through long-bearded horn-rimmed glasses jams and low-budget tours in the wildest pubs of Great Britain, France and the American East Coast and now believes she has the twang down pat. Whether with banjo, fiddle or guitar, she moves her listeners with her voice and archaic folk songs, the images of which are still moving today. Her own compositions are in German and English and seek to connect with modern times while retaining folk elements.

Peter Sinclair plays no-frills pop-punk with drive and attitude. Catchy melodies meet raw drive, emotional and always grounded with the energy of a local scene. Daniel Gottschlich, known as a star chef, has created a parallel musical project with Peter Sinclair that is quickly establishing itself in the Rhenish pop-punk scene. Together with his band, he creates songs that are raw and palpably genuine despite their pop-melodic structures. The attitude and DIY approach are always present and create a strong identification with the audience.
