As part of the German Short Film Day, we invite you to the beautiful White House in the agra Park in Markkleeberg! In the festive ambience of the Wilhelminian style villa we will show the short film programs "Familienbande" and "Europäische Kurzfilmlieblinge 2025".

7 p.m.: Family ties
There's always something going on in the family. Unity and a perfect world can usually only be seen in family photos. But how does that happen? What connects family members and what divides them? Is it possible to laugh about quarrels in the end or are we left with broken hearts?
Seven short films from the last ten years, some of them award-winning, uncover lines of conflict: sometimes more, sometimes less colorful, but always with love and a dose of humor.

approx. 8.30 pm: European short film favorites 2025
Whether fish counter or food distribution, small-town idyll or coastline - the locations are everyday, but the stories focus on the hidden, on the cracks in families or on the consequences of consumption and tourism. They tell of sisters, married couples, fish and shellfish; of tender touches and brutal violence that touch the present from the past - where the protagonists do not fall silent, do not lose themselves, but find their way. Interfilm presents a selection of the EUROPEAN SHORT FILM AUDIENCE AWARD 2025. With the EUROPEAN SHORT FILM AUDIENCE AWARD (ESFAA), films that have won an audience award at nine European short film festivals are now going on a cinema tour. All films will be shown with German subtitles.
