The Freiburg singer-songwriter Laura Braun has been an integral part of the Renitenztheater for two years, whether solo, at the "Sternstunden des Kabaretts" or at the Renitenz-Openair in the neighboring Rosengarten.
Now she returns with new songs in her luggage and cellist Enzo Caterino at her side, who adds depth, melancholy and sophistication to her subtle and socially critical compositions. With her usual unmistakable voice, trenchant piano playing and her "songs that suspend time" (BNN), Laura Braun creates a concert evening that reconciles protest, melancholy and optimism.
The young singer-songwriter also delves into the darkest moments of her own life story and does not avoid uncomfortable topics such as poverty or depression. Despite the emotionally profound lyricism, the musicology graduate always manages the feat of singing a way forward.
musicologist always manages the feat of singing about a path that creates courage and hope and on which it is also possible to laugh out loud. This combination of melancholy and
wit, criticism and resistance as well as constant self-reflection in the face of an overwhelming world hits the rapidly growing audience of the up-and-coming artist right in the heart.
"An evening full of truthfulness, intimacy and poetry. Without a mask, subtle, inspiring
and deeply touching." Tina Häussermann
