This year, the COUNCIL OF GENERATIONS brought together people aged between 10 and 80 to discuss wishes, fears and a fairer future across the generations.

As part of the 12th Festival Politik im Freien Theater, a living archive awaits you in the RealLabor. This documents the process, shows prejudices, limits of co-determination and rules for a balanced coexistence and invites visitors to reflect on their own role in a mixed-age society.

The project "Rat der Generationen" was funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The 12th Festival Politik im Freien Theater is funded by the City of Leipzig and the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism. This measure is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament.

The festival is a cooperation between the Federal Agency for Civic Education, LOFFT - DAS THEATER, Schaubühne Lindenfels, Schauspiel Leipzig, Theater der Jungen Welt and Westflügel Leipzig.
