The ella Kulturhaus Langenhorn invites you to a special literary journey through the night:

Under the title "Fahrtenbuch - Berichte eines Hamburger Taxifahrers", Ilhami Akter presents stories from his work of the same name - collected on 62 journeys through the metropolis, mostly at night, between arrival and departure.

The author encounters people in the back seat as he passes through: businessmen, intellectuals, fraudsters, thugs, paranoiacs, sick people, prostitutes, artists, chatterboxes - and silencers. Stories full of life emerge from fleeting encounters. The cab thus becomes a traveling place of remembrance, sometimes even a rolling confessional.

Akter writes as a chronicler of city nights, as a witness to the inconspicuous. His texts show life as it is - raw, real and human. They are snapshots that tell us about ourselves.

The reading will be organized by Jessica Diedrich. Afterwards, the author is looking forward to a discussion with the audience about the stories, how they came about and the people behind them.
