Back in 1971, Lütjensee in the north German province: Helmut Zierl is 16 and stands with his army bag on the highway ramp heading south. First he was kicked out of school, then his father. And he thinks to himself: just leave, head for the sun, search for the meaning of life with 200 marks in his pocket. What follows are three months of happiness, fear, adventure and life on the road.

Three months of concentrated life experience that pushed him to his limits and gave him a new direction for his future.
