Violence in partnerships - especially against women - affects people of all ages, nationalities, cultures and social backgrounds.
On this evening, we want to break the silence and give those affected a voice: Mariele Millowitsch, well-known theater and TV actress, reads the moving story of a woman affected.
Barbara Peveling, ethnologist, author and journalist, has experienced domestic violence herself and will read from her book "Gewalt im Haus. Intimate forms of domestic violence".
Witnessing or experiencing violence can also be very stressful. Perhaps you have already asked yourself: What can I do? When should I call the police? How can I help? How do I broach the subject?
Marina Walch, head of the women's advice center and violence protection center "Der Wendepunkt", provides answers to these questions. She will present concrete options for action and show ways in which support can be successful.
Afterwards, we cordially invite you to ask questions. The evening will be accompanied and supported musically by the FLINTA* band BUBS.
