Zara Akopyan'smusical work encompasses all the facets of a young woman looking for her place in this world. The 27-year-old singer-songwriter from Cologne combines folk, pop and country with her distinctive voice, which immediately stands out: warm, powerful and at the same time with just the right mix of emotion and lightness. Accompanied by her acoustic guitar, which carries more than just the rhythm, her special flair for songwriting comes to the fore. Zara Akopyan's music tells stories in a visual way that makes you think and empathize - sometimes quiet and melancholic, sometimes driving and full of energy.

Mister Whistler is an indie newcomer from Cologne, whose debut album "Paper Planes" presents a striking mix of indie rock, pop, post-rock and electronic elements. The album combines intimate moments with powerful sounds and captivates the audience with driving rhythms and pulsating beats. The songs shine with expressive vocals, dynamic arrangements and a unique balance between silence and intensity - Mister Whistler also brings this sound to the stage in an impressive solo performance.

The series will be opened in October by Markus Apitius, a permanent member of the Lied United crew. Apitius is just as happy to give free rein to his fable for psychedelic sounds as he is for folky ballads and beatlesque harmonies, always carried by intelligent songwriting and a touching, extraordinary voice.

As always, the evening will be hosted by Cologne musician, artist and presenter Wolfgang A. Noethen, who, alongside Apitius and Robert Gasper, is part of the Lied United organizing team.
