A participatory project about a non-definition
Director: Michael Müller
Queens, Kings, Quings of the Nation! Pull your lipsticks out of your tool bags, write it in big red letters on every concrete wall: Revolution - Love knows no Gender! The god Atum once cursed men and they became impotent. The three queer performers certainly don't need this drastic solution to question the gender roles on stage that we internalize and constantly repeat from an early age. They have the power of their own stories and had to and wanted to seek out new experiences and ways to find out for themselves: What is this anyway - "my gender". Neither nature nor society have the right to define gender. Whether hetero or queer or everything in between: We all know that state when opinions or fear of other people's judgment keep you from being who you are, how you want to show yourself. Character, integrity and the courage to live your own life are more important and our thought patterns are usually far too crude for the diverse reality. We take the floor ourselves - with and without make-up - perform our songs and invite you to join us. If you give us the time, we'll give you the experience. Join our Lipstick Quings Revolution!
To mark the end of his many years of work in the SchauSpielHaus's youth department, Michael Müller is staging his first performance in the RangFoyer.
