Literaturklub: Wahrheiten und Zufälle

The new texts by the two Cologne-based authors Marie Foulis and Leonard Prandini deal with truths and coincidences. Sometimes they turn absurd, trashy or fantastic. They are always great entertainment.

Marie Foulis was born in Baden-Württemberg in 1993. She studied German and French law, completed a Master's degree in Paris and her state law exams in Cologne. She is now working on her doctorate at the intersection of AI, sustainability and law. She is co-founder of Schreibwerkstatt Köln, a literary collective with which she organizes weekly writing meetings, an annual writing retreat and, since 2019, the reading series MIT ANDEREN WORTEN. As a moderator, she recently appeared at Nimm Platz and the eLK Festival, and as an author she was a guest at new.lit and Text & Tenor, among others. When writing - short and long prose - she is interested in everything 50 and everything 100 percent.

Leonard Prandini studied philosophy and literary writing and writes novels, screenplays and columns. In 2022, he received the Dieter Wellershoff Scholarship from the City of Cologne. His texts deal with youth, urbanity, addiction and absurd coincidences.
