SLOWROOM celebrates its tenth edition! To celebrate, host Florian Grass aka Dispens will be joined by Brussel musician Geraldine Vanspauwen aka La Zza Ro and Cologne experimenter Graneg Sandpapier in mono.

⚫ La Zza Ro is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist hovering on the verge of sonic composition and intuitive songwriting, exploring the intersections between abstract poetry, raw noise and experimental folk. Guided by a lasting love for intimate tape recordings, looping techniques, ethereal voices, tangible textures and detuned universes, she weaves together lyrical sound worlds with a dream-like allure.

She is currently performing solo (tapes, strings, keys, voice) as well as with the bands Zemlya (drums, organ, voice) and Sergeant (guitar, voice), and hosts a monthly radio show, Unburdened Bones, on Kiosk Radio.

⚫ Graneg Sandpapier: Self-developed synthesizers and other effects are the basis for the stage program of Graneg Sandpapier, an artistic figure that has been continuously developed since 2018. In addition to these devices, the performances feature steel cables with bows stretched across the room and a semi-acoustic guitar with piano hammers. Surrounded by found objects such as stones, blades of grass or crashed drum parts, samples are used to create soundscapes reminiscent of machine-like drones or shimmering swarms of insects. Speech interludes (live or sample) react to social issues, but do not offer a solution. Everything is improvised, follows patterns and is different every time. He lives in Cologne.
