What begins as a joke is a true story - and the starting point for an evening full of humor, music and sharp observations. 🎭🎶

On 19 September, Liza Kos will take to the stage of Gleis 9 with her new solo program "INTRIGATION", a show about identity, origin, faith, integration - and the chaos that arises when several cultures live together in one body.

Liza Kos tells the story of her family:
An optimistic physics teacher and a depressive musician meet in a Buddhist sect in the Soviet Union, marry on April 1st - and stay together for 40 years. A life between religions, countries and cultures emerges from this April Fool's joke. Really true.

Deeply religious as a child, in search of identity as a teenager, later somewhere between Russia, Turkey and Germany - Liza Kos slips into roles, plays with clichés and shows with great warmth how differences can enrich rather than divide.

Her program is musical, pointed and versatile:
Liza speaks, sings, plays guitar and convinces with a strong voice, fine wordplay and perfectly placed punchlines. The press and audience celebrate her ability to bring serious topics to the stage in a light, clever and always tongue-in-cheek manner.
