It was midsummer when Löwenzahnhonig moved into the barn. No studio, no city noise, no everyday worries. Just the air, heavy with sun dust and the scent of flowers, the milky light that fell through the cracks in the wooden beams, and a collection of instruments that sounded as if they came from another time.

There, in a place where time knows no deadlines, Cherry Blossom Boogie was born. Blossom Boogie) was born. It is an album like a Super 8 film that has become music: shimmering, sun-faded, quietly precise - as if someone had slowed down the tempo of pop music to give it room to breathe again. Guitar lines sneak through the windows like sunbeams, the bass is a patient storyteller, and the drums think in terms of landscapes rather than beats.

The music of this Swiss instrumental band is poetic deceleration. If you listen closely, you might catch fleeting echoes of Khruangbin, whose guitar lines seem to have been sent on a journey through time. But Löwenzahnhonig bring something completely unique to the table: a kind of alpine zen surf - dreamy and yet precise. "Retro" is not quite right. This music has more of an archaeological character: it uncovers something buried under layers of volume and urgency.

At times, Dandelion Honey recalls the cinematic vastness of Tortoise, the driving clarity of Yo La Tengo or the desolate landscapes once traversed by Ry Cooder's slide guitar. Listening to this music feels like finding an old photo album in the attic: You don't know anyone on it, and yet somehow you feel like it belongs to you. And when you experience Löwenzahnhonig live, you really understand that this music is more than just a backdrop.

The band modulates the tempo with dreamlike precision, allowing the music to flow, to hesitate, to expand like the sunlight in the afternoon. Their concerts are places of bliss - somewhere between somnambulistic transcendence and easy danceability. The latter finds even more space on this second album. This is what makes the anticipation of their upcoming European tour so exciting: what Löwenzahnhonig create in the studio comes to life on stage - a concert like a time machine and a band that is steadily conquering its place in the memory of the present.
