Lucy Wijnands is one of the outstanding voices on the New York jazz scene. As the winner of the Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Competition, she attracted attention at a young age. Since then she has toured Japan, Europe and Israel and has thrilled audiences in prominent clubs such as Birdland NYC, Mezzrow and Smalls. In this special program, Lucy and her band pay tribute to the legendary Sarah Vaughan on her 100th birthday. "Sassy", also known as "The Divine One", is considered one of the most influential voices in jazz history.
