New Wednesday ritual! Literature is a food and the KHM is 35 years old! To kick off the year, Rebekka Endler rediscovers Irmtraud Morgner's novel "Hochzeit in Konstantinopel" for us.

Rebekka Endler (*1984) is a freelance journalist, podcaster and author from Cologne. Together with Annika Brokschmidt, she hosts the podcast "Feminist Shelf Control", which dissects literature but also deals with current issues surrounding feminism and right-wing conservatism. Her first book "Das Patriarchat der Dinge" about patriarchal everyday design was published in Germany in 2021 (Dumont) and has been translated into several languages. Endler's second book "Witches, Bitches, It-Girls" about misogynistic fairy tales and patriarchal storytelling was published in spring 2025 (Rowohlt) and is also currently being translated into several languages.
