Lyrikedition 2025

In the organizer's words:

Lyrikedition Hannover for the third time: The book series with poems by authors from Hanover and the surrounding area has reached its final year. After two sold-out book launches in 2023 and 2024, four new publications will be presented at the 2025 Poetry Festival. Nikola Huppertz, Eva Taylor, Thomas Bothor and Alexander Rudolfi will be there with unpublished poems.

The Hanover Poetry Edition, edited by Bert Strebe, aims to highlight how many outstanding poets come from, live and work in the Hanover region. A total of ten volumes will be published by 2025.

At the Poetry Festival 2025, there will be readings and students from Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts will show video portraits of the poets. Music will be provided by Mathis Ubben on the cello. And afterwards there will be talks over wine and water.

Nikola Huppertz, born in 1976, has written more than 30 books for children and young people and has received almost as many awards. Here she presents her adult poems.

Eva Taylor, born in 1956, lives in Hanover and Italy. She has published several volumes of Italian poetry and received various awards.

Thomas Bothor, born in 1974, works with texts, music and drawings and works with mentally ill people. His book in the Lyrikedition Hannover is his debut.

Alexander Rudolfi, born in 1987, studied philosophy and literary writing. He was the winner of the Open Mike competition in 2022. He has already published two volumes of prose.

Mathis Ubben, born in 1994, comes from Aurich and studied music in Hanover. He plays in various ensembles, works as a music journalist and composes music himself.

Jutta Rinas is an editor at the HAZ after working for WDR and FR.
