What began at the age of 7, when Freddy Cricien was pushed on stage by his half-brother and legendary hardcore singer Roger Miret of the mighty AGNOSTIC FRONT, developed into one of the most important hardcore bands of all time. The members of MADBALL are icons of the underground, and this underground is now spreading to the streets. Since their formation in 1988, MADBALL has been responsible for some of the genre's most important releases, from the seminal EP "Ball of Destruction" (1989) to the milestone albums "Set It Off" (1994), "Demonstrating My Style" (1996), "Look My Way" (1998), "Hold it Down" (2000) and their most recent works "Legacy" (2005) and "Infiltrate The System" (2007). After numerous label changes, MADBALL finally joined forces with Nuclear Blast and look forward to a promising future with another great album - "Empire", which is not only the first album for Nuclear Blast, but also the first to feature new drummer Jay Weinberg, who replaced longtime percussionist Darren Morgenthaler.

"Ghetto Justice from Berlin. Seems blunt, sometimes offends, also raises questions. But if you take a closer look at the songs and lyrics, you quickly realize that there's more to it than meets the eye. A bit like the story of the ugly duckling.

Topics such as toxic masculinity, the shift to the right, pick-up artists, burning venues and bigwig children in Thailand are just a few examples that are "talked through". Always with a wink and hardness in the riffs. The intense and engaging live shows must be discussed separately, every show (or rather every event?) is a roaring party and the emphasis here is clearly on intoxication. Ghetto Justice takes everyone with it and is music for the whole family.

Motto: More mosh, more love, more good vibes, because anyone can watch evil, preach dogmas and collectively nod off.
