Handmade, honest and analog dance music straight from the engine room of the port of Hamburg: mahoin brings the pulse of Sankt Pauli to the stage with accordion, drums and lots of brass - sometimes loud and wild, sometimes quiet and soulful, but always full of power and soul.

The five musicians in sailor's pants bring back a colorful cargo of songs from their sea voyages: Ukrainian, Spanish, Serbian, Italian, French and English songs are mixed with Low German and Hamburg evergreens. Wild rhythms meet driving shanties, Balkan beats meet well-known catchy tunes and iconic melodies. All new and interpreted with a wink.

But mahoin is more than just music: helmsman Johnny navigates his way through the evening with sailor's yarn, mischief and poetic depth - a show spectacle that will be remembered. The concert program "Landgang" is a journey full of music, stories and joie de vivre - an evening that tastes of port and sounds of departure.
