As a small, strong girl with red cheeks, Maite smiled from the Kelly Family's million-selling "Over the Hump" cover in 1994. What many
she had to fight even then - against prejudice, ridicule and an industry that rarely forgives. But her father gave her a piece of
wisdom to her early on: "Life's not fair - so make something of it!" She internalized these words - and lives by them to this day.
