A lot has changed for Malou Lovis since her triumph on The Voice of Germany in December 2023.
The 25-year-old, who grew up in a musical home in the countryside, impressed on the show with her warm, soulful voice and likeable manner. Her coaches Bill and Tom Kaulitz and the audience were immediately won over by her - and she ultimately won the title.
Her final performance of Glacier Rivers, her self-written debut single, in which she addresses her coming out and makes a clear statement against homophobia and queerphobia, was particularly moving. A moment she would have wished for herself as a teenager on television.
Her victory was followed by major TV and live appearances, including the New Year's Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate in front of 65,000 people and Schlag den Star. With a label contract in the bag, new songs and plenty of energy, Malou is ready to take the next step.
Before she embarks on her first club tour in September, she will be supporting Tokio Hotel on their European tour - a promise that was made live at the show and is now becoming a reality.
