ACH DIESE LÜCKE, DIESE ENTSETZLICHE LÜCKE, based on the novel by Joachim Meyerhoff, ran for seven years at Theater der Keller. Now comes the sequel. The narrator is now in his mid-fifties, a father, successful actor and author and in a creative crisis. He moves in with his elderly mother in the country to work on a novel about the theater entitled "Shame and Stage" and to give the old lady a helping hand. But the roles are reversed: it is the son who receives help from his vital mother. He remembers touching scenes and embarrassing moments from his life as a person and stage star and the hope grows in him that one day he too - with Hölderlin - will be able to "fall into the heights".

Julie Grothgar's production puts its finger on the tragicomic contrast between the awareness of one's own inadequacies and the freedom of the play.
