Mannheim meets LENA LORBERG

In this concert series, Mannheim meets talents from the young jazz scene. Together with musicians from the Mannheim scene, the guest forms a unique band and develops a completely new program.

In this way, the different scenes are brought together - influences and ideas about music are exchanged. An exciting experience not to be missed.

The band Lena Lorberg invites you to the next Mannheim Meets.

Lena Lorberg discovered the electric bass at grammar school. This was quickly followed by the double bass and the school's own big band. At 13, she became part of the Lower Saxony State Youth Jazz Orchestra "Windmachine", where she played from 2020-2023. In 2022, she began her junior studies at the Osnabrück Institute of Music with Anne Mette Iversen and Achim Seifert. 2023 she became a member of the JugendJazzOrchester NRW. Since the winter semester 2024/25 she has been studying jazz double bass at the HfMT Cologne with Robert Landfermann. She is also a member of the BuJazzO line-up 2025/26 and has received lessons from John Goldsby, Stefan Rey, Robert Landfermann, Anne Mette Iversen, Achim Seifert, Joshua Ginsburg and Andreas Müller, among others.

Together with their colleagues Jonas Neubauer (sax), Julius Steyer (drums) and Leo Haasis (piano), the band has put together a unique program for this evening.

The combination of music and musicians provides the basis for a great concert evening that is eagerly awaited.
