Mannheim meets JOHANNES KNOLL

In this concert series, Mannheim meets talents from the young jazz scene. Together with musicians from the Mannheim scene, the guest forms a unique band and develops a completely new program.

In this way, the different scenes are brought together - influences and ideas about music are exchanged. An exciting experience not to be missed.

The band Johannes Knoll invites you to the next Mannheim Meets.

Johannes Knoll moves stylistically in modern European jazz with a strong focus on improvisation, experimentation and tonal diversity. He explores the boundary between composed structures and free improvisation by combining traditional jazz elements with unconventional motifs and styles.

A central project is his ensemble "Knollektiv", which is conceived as a collective acting on an equal footing.

Knoll was also a member of the Bundesjazzorchester (BuJazzO), where he worked on a variety of projects between big band tradition, contemporary arrangements and international collaborations.

Together with his colleagues Jonas Neubauer (sax), Julius Steyer (drums), Mario Angelov (bass) and Leo Haasis (piano), the band has put together a unique program for this evening.

The combination of music and musicians provides the basis for a great concert evening that is eagerly awaited.
