Marcel is an adorable clam with shoes, only two inches tall, who lives a colorful life in a house used as an Airbnb with her grandmother Connie and her pet fuzzball Alan. Once part of a sprawling clam community, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. In a world far too big for them, they have set themselves up with all kinds of clever tricks. But when a documentary filmmaker discovers them in the clutter of his Airbnb, the short film he publishes online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans - as well as unexpected dangers and a new hope of finding his long-lost family. A heartwarming movie about a little shell with a big heart.
