INFORMATION

The play tells of the necessity of honey and bees, of the approach of completely different characters and of their courage and cunning. Masha runs into the forest after the swarm of bees to bring them home for her old grandfather. But she loses her way, gets lost and ends up in the bear's hut. This is very convenient for the herbalist bear, who wants to keep her in his hut as a caretaker. Longing and worry for her grandparents accompany Masha, who comes up with something clever to get back home. Little did we know that a bear and a girl could learn so much from each other and that the bees know where they belong.

Alexander Weber, a beekeeper who has been making music since childhood, and Sandy Sanne, an actress, met and founded the theaterimkerei SanneWeber in 2011. Their plays, which are created in collaboration with Antje König (director), Katharina Schimmel (costumes), Christian Werdin (stage & figures) and Nastja Zukanova (stage painting & graphics), have their own world of lightness, substance and depth. The theaterimkerei is interested in cultivating and addressing the beauty of, in and around people by seeking to cultivate nourishment for bees and humans.
