The Hanoverian cabaret artist Matthias Brodowy, winner of the Prix Pantheon, the Gaul von Niedersachsen and the German Cabaret Award, among others, now presents his brand new program. As always, funny, philosophical, thought-provoking and musical.

Venue of the event

The Capitol in Bremerhaven is by no means just a popular stage for political cabaret. This venue combines humor and a stable attitude, making it a resonating space of the times. The program regularly features big names from the German cabaret and cabaret scene, but newcomers also demonstrate their skills. At Capitol, we firmly believe that culture should not be a luxury, but a source of solidarity and inspiration. If you want to know what the present feels like, you have to come along.

Since 1988, the Bremen Chamber of Employees has been organizing a cultural programme in Bremerhaven with the aim of staying close to the realities of people's lives. The Capitol has been the hub of the cultural scene in the area since 1993. As a meeting place, the venue invites artistic, political, intercultural and interpersonal exchange. The plays are selected very carefully: How do we want to live? What drives society? What can (or should) we laugh about? The "SATIRICA" stands out as a special highlight every second year. The festival brings together the most influential voices in German-language satire and, with its supra-regional appeal, is one of the most renowned cabaret formats in northern Germany.

The Capitol can be easily reached by bus from Bremerhaven main station. Visitors arriving by car can use the public parking spaces on the street and in the surrounding area.
