On closer inspection, there is more to Max Mutzke than just one artist. Max is many. Sounds strange at first, but it has to do with the charismatic singer & songwriter's incredible versatility & insatiable creative curiosity. Whether pop, rock, soul, funk or jazz - Max Mutzke has a thousand musical facets at his disposal.
Now he has found partners who are a trio/three, but also embody more than that. The soulful groove-jazz mixture that Matti Klein serves up with Lars Zander (saxophone and bass clarinet) and André Seidel, his partner from his "Mo' Blow" days, has addictive potential and just as many facets as Max Mutzke has. With his various vintage keyboards and on the grand piano, Matti Klein has earned himself a reputation as one of the most interesting young groove jazz musicians on the German scene. He regularly shares the stage and studio with stars such as Sarah Connor, Herbert Grönemeyer and as musical director with and by Ed Motta.
