In the organizer's words:

Were they really just ornamental companions in the shadow of the dukes? Or did they have a far greater influence on events at court than one might think at first glance?

In this tour, you will meet the women at the Brunswick court, such as Philippine Charlotte and Augusta of Great Britain. They promoted science and music, initiated building projects and established clever networks. Some took on political responsibility, others found their own space between courtly expectations and personal challenges.

An entertaining tour of the palace that focuses on the roles of women in the Guelphs and makes it clear that these women were anything but mere accessories.

The number of participants is limited and registration is required. Spontaneous participation is also possible, subject to availability.
