A one-man comedy revue on two square meters,
in which puppetry, dance, singing and piano sounds meet harsh reality.
"Something between Georgette Dee and South Park." -Hans Neuenfels
Jarnoth tells - and plays - his life.
In his mid-thirties, with no family or possessions - just a doll's house in which he lives with his dolls. Instead of a mortician, he became an artist, and now the roof of reality is falling on his head. Between cheap hotels, expensive lamps and questionable dates, he struggles between art and bank account, longing and self-doubt.
With unsparing humor and tender despair, Jarnoth lets his audience look deep into the beautifully illuminated abysses of self-dramatization. He tells of big feelings in small moments, of the fear of failure and the need to keep playing - because life itself is sometimes nothing more than a stage.
"You know you're finished when you can no longer make it pretty by making it pretty." - Jarnoth
Jarnoth makes the darkness light - transforming pain into slapstick and self-irony into the art of survival.
An evening about the art of inventing yourself - and the consolation that even puppets are sometimes more honest than humans.
