The year is 2030 and the party is over. In the remnants of a great celebration, we meet three figures who review the path of the new political change.

Klaus Mann's "Mephisto. Roman einer Karriere" uses the real-life biography of the prominent German actor Gustav Gründgens for his story about the actor Hendrik Höfgen, who rose from the role of Mephisto to General Director between 1926 and 1936 during the rise of National Socialism.

The project development MEPHISTO. UNDER PRESSURE. combines excerpts from the novel with today's realities and interviews with cultural workers for a bitter and brutally poetic project about what could be in store for us or has already become everyday life elsewhere.
