MIKUBA of the world's cobalt supply, where the battle for a sustainable green energy future is fought in dust and heat. This global race to secure the essential element that powers electric vehicles and renewable energy is putting immense pressure on the land and its people. In the midst of this race, the film depicts the lives of local custodians - artisans and small-scale miners - who resolutely act as guardians of the wealth and wisdom of their ancestors. At the center of the story is Mama Leance, a determined and resourceful trader who navigates the labyrinth of multinational copper and cobalt giants that dominate the region.
