Based on the graphic novel by Kid Koala, the film Mission Starry Sky tells a musical fable about memories and friendship and the question of what connects us even over great distances.
Robot was created to make Celeste the brilliant scientist she is today. But when she sets off on her first interstellar mission, Robot is left behind - without a task and filled with loneliness. He is happy about Celeste's success, but the emptiness gnaws at his ageing technical system. Meanwhile, Celeste is confronted with unexpected dangers in space. In these moments, memories of her childhood and her time with Robot guide her through the darkness and give her strength. A poetic journey about loss, letting go and the search for one's place in the universe.
