Mittelalterlicher Weihnachtsmarkt an der Alexianer Klostergärtnerei in Porz

On Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22, 2025, the grounds of the Alexianer Klostergärtnerei in Cologne-Porz will be transformed into an atmospheric medieval Christmas market. Between the smell of campfires, twinkling lights and handicrafts, visitors can enjoy a special Advent experience for the whole family. 🤶 🎄 💫

Around 50 stalls (both in the parking lot in front of the house and on the terrace of the monastery café!) offer a wide variety on both days: handmade gifts, Advent decorations, pottery, candle workshop, macramé, blacksmithing, basketry, mosaic art, knitwear and much more.
Food and drink are also well catered for: whether mulled wine, home-baked waffles, barbecued food or sweet treats - everyone will find something to enjoy here.

The festively lit area, numerous medieval-clad participants and demonstrations of old crafts create a special atmosphere. Visitors can immerse themselves in another time - and discover creative ideas for gifts and decorations.

The Alexian monastery nursery also opens its doors and presents inspiring decoration ideas for the Advent season. Anyone still looking for a wreath, a flower arrangement or plants for the winter will find what they are looking for here.

The Medieval Christmas Market is open:
Friday, November 21: 5-8 p.m.
Saturday, November 22: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

The Alexian monastery nursery is open:
Monday to Friday: 9-18:30
Saturday: 9 am - 4 pm

It is easy to get there with the KVB line 7(Ensen-Kloster stop).
There is also a parking lot on site and parking is available in the surrounding streets.
