MUSIC by Maria Theresia von Paradis, Luise Adolpha Le Beau, Mel Boni, Amy Beach and others.

The art historian Dr. Beate Marks-Hanßen presents texts by Rahel Varnhagen, Jane Austen, Mary Shelley and others in costumes tailored according to historical models, Birgit Heinemann (violoncello) and Andreas Seipp (piano) play music by female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries (Maria Theresia von Paradis, Luise Adolpha Le Beau, Mel Boni, Amy Beach, Cécile Chaminade and others).

Crises, guys, crinolines - how did women actually manage it back then? Not only the works and compositions, but also the sometimes remarkable lives of the creative women of the 19th and 20th centuries are illuminated.
