Molchat Doma (translated: "The houses are silent"), founded in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, operates at the intersection of post-punk, new wave and synth-pop.

Gloomy yet danceable, with a strong dash of goth ethos, their music is reminiscent of the masters who came before them, but make no mistake: Molchat Doma creates a sound and expressiveness that are instantly recognizable as entirely their own. The band consists of Egor Shkutko, who sings the Russian lyrics in his deep, monotone voice, Roman Komogortsev on guitar, synthesizers and drum machine, and Pavel Kozlov on bass and synthesizers.

Their second LP, Этажи (pronounced Etazhi, meaning "floors"), was released in 2018. It has sold more than 10,000 copies and is currently being re-released due to overwhelming demand. The song "Sudno" has been in the global top viral charts on Spotify continuously since April 2020. Although they play to sold-out clubs, whether in London, Warsaw, Helsinki, Belgrade or Berlin, they still fly under the radar in their native Belarus.
