The moon is melting. It is dripping. No one notices the melting moon except Grandma Holle, who carefully catches the precious drops. When the power fails in the tower block, the glow of the melting moon leads the residents to Granny Holle, who is happy to share it with everyone. But what will become of the two moonless moon guardians Hüpf and Hopps? Inspired by the motifs in "Mondeis" by Baek Hee Na, director Yeşim Nela Keim Schaub and two players question our relationship to light and darkness, heat and cold and the distribution of resources. What helps against the heat on a summer night? What does brightness actually taste like? And what would the disappearance of the moon do to people? Yeşim Nela Keim Schaub draws the audience into the poetic magic of the award-winning book and explores what can happen in one night. Baek Hee Na is the winner of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize 2020 and has been nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize 2024.
