MONSTER / wild things* (8+)

In the organizer's words:
A play development with integrated artistic audio description / Cologne premiere on 13.11.2025

Do you sometimes think, I don't fit in here? I don't want to be here? I don't belong here? Are you adventurous and ready to dare the impossible - and a little forbidden - with us? Then set sail and get your ticket for the island of MONSTER / wild things*! Here we dance, sing, make noise and eat stick bread. Sometimes people get into fights or accidentally set something on fire. That can happen, can't it? After all, this is our island! We can do whatever we want here, can't we? Oh yes, and maybe we'll tell you one of our biggest secrets at the end: Namely, how we once came to this island. "MONSTER / wild things*" is about the search for one's own place in the world. It celebrates 'otherness', questions norms and rules and invites you to be creeped out, laugh and think. It is about negotiating shared spaces and individual safe spaces. Artes_Rohde & Kompliz*innen also share personal experiences from a migrant and mixed-abled perspective. The production is fully accessible to blind, visually impaired and sighted audiences alike thanks to an open artistic audio description.
