MORE THAN FRIENDS - XXth Art Night at Museum Ludwig

20 years of jungekunstfreunde, XX Art Night - we're celebrating our anniversary! And we're doing it right.
On October 11, 2025 , we will once again transform the Museum Ludwig into a place for all night owls, art lovers and dance enthusiasts.

MORE THAN FRIENDS is not only the motto of this special night, but is also based on the upcoming special exhibition:
"Five Friends. John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly".
The focus here is on the creative and romantic relationships between these artists, who have written art history together - and which we want to celebrate with you.

What can you expect?

Art, performances, music, friendship and lots of atmosphere!
Short guided tours through the collection and the special exhibition will bring you very close to modern art and its queer positions - compact, exciting and inspiring.

Live performances, including one by Cage, will bring movement and sound into the halls of the museum.

Performing will be:

• Savsannah (E.P.I.Q.)
• Freddy Deckert (Morning Glory)

The foyer becomes a dance floor, the museum a stage for everything that art can do - and friendship means.

If that's not enough, you can look forward to special events, interactions, drinks, talks, creative surprises and, of course, many familiar and new faces.

This night is more than music, more than performance, more than friendship - it celebrates the love of art and Cologne!
