In the organizer's words:

How does the text get into the book and what do these books look like? Together with three representatives of Munich-based independent publishers - Lars Claßen (Kjona Verlag), Lena Frenzel (Mixtvision Verlag) and Tristan Marquardt (hochroth München) - we will take a look at selected books and talk about their production and manufacturing. We will discuss the interplay between content and form, illustrations and unique handcrafted items, as well as the question of what role sustainability plays. In addition to practical considerations on design, material and printing, we want to explore what the future of high-quality designed books looks like.

This spring, the Münchner Volkshochschule is organizing the "Münchner Schiene" as part of the literature festival.
