"City history differently". Under this guiding principle, the Cologne City Museum opened its new permanent exhibition in the former Franz Sauer fashion house in 2024. With objects from the Middle Ages to the present day, this exhibition tells the city's history in a surprising, innovative and emotional way. Dr. Matthias Hamann, Director of the Cologne City Museum, will be a guest at the MiQua:forum together with Stefan Lewejohann, curator of the new permanent exhibition, and will talk about the museum, its role in the city and the museum's famous Judaica collection. Together with MiQua Director Dr. Thomas Otten and Judaist Dr. Christiane Twiehaus, they will shed light on the challenges, similarities and future prospects of both Cologne museums.
