Night of the Arts - Desperados Waiting for Milk
The spatial installation "Milk Bowl" by Samuel Imbach refers to the multi-layered history of the reinraum - from the former public toilet facilities to the darkroom and the current underground OffRoom. The work deals intensively with the transformation of the location and its hidden identity. An exclusive edition by the artist will also be published to coincide with the exhibition. Over the course of the evening, performance artist Laura Heyer picks up on the mood and essence of the space and transforms it into an immediately tangible atmosphere that draws the audience deep into the production.
BLUE. LIGHT. DISTRICT. - Performance and happening
A tragedy for society as a whole becomes a telenovela for entire generations. The actors? Us.
The director? questionable. The script? ambiguous. And the meaning?
We are drawn into a flood of information - spectacular, captivating - only to fall simultaneously and isolated into the silence of the night. This is where the overwhelming feeling of powerlessness and insignificance arises.
In her performance BLUE.LIGHT.DISTRICT, Laura Heyer brings all of this out of the shadows of anonymity, allowing a deep look in the mirror and questioning the concept of individual agency.
Her works combine multimedia, processuality and autobiographical elements to create intense, sensual spaces that break open comfort zones and draw everyone involved - artists and audience alike - into a holistic experience.
