Naïssam Jalal - Landscapes of Eternity

With her project "Landscapes of Eternity", the virtuoso flautist, Nay player, singer and composer Naïssam Jalal invites you to an encounter between jazz and North Indian musical traditions. Naïssam Jalal was born in Paris to Syrian parents, so her musical threads stretch from her Arab ancestry to her French world. She brings the musical threads together with breathtaking stylistic confidence, trance-like and spiritual, open to all possibilities of free improvisation. "Landscapes of Eternity" transforms North Indian landscapes into music, deconstructs boundaries and finds a unique language that invites the listener to open up to diverse horizons.

Cacha Mundinho

The quartet Cacha Mundinho breathes new life into forgotten musical traditions. From songs that exude Iberian ambience and Portuguese troubadour tradition, Cacha Mundinho travels across North Africa and the Middle East to India and Brazil. Singer and songwriter Joana Almeida is one of the first classical fado guitarists in Portugal. She composes original pieces in Portuguese, inspired by fado and traditional Portuguese troubadour songs, characterized by her own contemporary interpretation of the tradition. Elements from Portugal, the Middle East, Africa, Brazil and Indian music are combined with the improvisational agility of jazz. The word "Cacha" comes from the Cape Verdean Creole, "Cacha Mundinho" means: "Catch a small world" - homage to the lusophone world and an invitation to travel into a beguiling world of sound.
