Everyone processes their life differently: some go to church, others to a yoga retreat - Nikita Miller has opted for the classic cycle: guilt, conscience, suffering, redemption ... and in the end not atonement, but a stage.
Guilt. Every family has it. But while others get a bit of a guilty conscience because they ignored the WhatsApp from grandma, Nikita won the complete package. Thank you, dad.
Conscience. That asshole who always rings when you want to sleep. Or at the therapist when you think: "Dude, I'm paying 120 euros an hour here and you're asking me about my childhood?"
Sorrow. Yes, he buried his mother, hated his father and still somehow got through life. Sounds sad? It is. But at some point you have to decide: cry or laugh about it. And Nikita laughs - out loud.
Redemption. Doesn't really exist. But the microphone, audience and honest laughter come pretty damn close.
Atonement stage. Nothing to do with forgive and forget. The story is told here, relentlessly, wickedly, liberatingly funny. Nikita Miller serves up his life story not as a tragedy, but as comedy - and yes, you are allowed to laugh. Out loud.
Best regards,
Nikita Miller
PS: The "atonement" is intentional.
