Dance films curated by the Moovy Festival. Followed by an audience discussion with Michael Maurissens.

Over the next few days, dance will become a cinematic moment: we will be showing a hand-picked selection of international dance films that tell stories about the body, identity, movement and emotion - without boundaries, but with all the more expression. From the streets of Benin to the markets of India, from the urban density of Hong Kong to the quiet nature of Finland - the program brings 18 short films from over 15 countries to the screen. Whether intense, playful, political or poetic: these films don't just dance, they tell stories, touch, amaze - and sometimes even make you smile.

NIMM PLATZ am Neumarkt is a joint project of Cologne's cultural administration and the independent cultural scene, with contributions from the University of Music and Dance (HfMT) and the Academy of Media Arts (KHM).
