Jürgen Nendza reads poetry and invites us to a pre-listening of Sagen die Luftwurzeln

With his poems, Jürgen Nendza takes us to the high moor, more precisely to the "High Fens", and lets us fly up with a cloud of starlings into the metamorphoses of poetic imagination. At the same time, he invites us to a pre-listening. "Sagen die Luftwurzeln" is the name of his current sound sculpture project, which he has created in collaboration with actors Lou Strenger, Bibiana Beglau, André Kaczmarczyk and Aram Tafreshian, film musicians Florian van Volxem and Sven Rossenbach and double bassist André Nendza under the direction of Matthias Kratzenstein. The recording will be released in October and the first radio plays from this project, which is funded by the Kunststiftung NRW, can be heard exclusively at Neumarkt.

Jürgen Nendza most recently published the poetry collection "Auffliegendes Gras" with Poetenladen Verlag in Leipzig and was awarded the Wilhelm Lehmann Literature Prize in 2023.

NIMM PLATZ am Neumarkt is a joint project of Cologne's cultural administration and the independent cultural scene, with contributions from the University of Music and Dance (HfMT) and the Academy of Media Arts (KHM).
