NOSCH after hours (Singer-Songwriter Special)

In the organizer's words:

On April 25, we will open the doors of Café NOSCH after closing time for our next after hours - this time for the two singer-songwriters Käptn Grundschule & Johannes Scheurich.

Käptn Grundschule's name says it all: a primary school teacher by conviction and a singer-songwriter by boredom, he sings either about his work as the former or his escapism as the latter. His lyrics are somewhere between pathos and pantheism, melancholy and myth, depression and dinosaurs. With a mixture of folk, acoustic punk and whatever you call what Gundermann has done, he brings you stories about ancient mythology and modern primary school life.

Johannes Scheurich - that's the deepest voice in Leipzig, the Bela B. of indie pop and not for nothing the Leipzig Songslam champion. The Mecklenburg native is just as comfortable with big emotions as he is with blunt social criticism; laughter and melancholy go hand in hand at his shows.
