"NOW! Judith Malina and the Living Theatre" on the occasion of Judith Malina's 100th birthday, Anna Opel conducted research in New York, Berlin and southern Italy. This impressive portrait of the pioneering anarcho-pacifist emerged from encounters with companions and diaries. Her message is highly topical. Azad Jafarian's essay film Love & Politics (2011) is part of the pool of material. The atmospheric film shows the already elderly artist at theater rehearsals and in her everyday life shortly after the sudden death of her second husband Hanon Reznikov. Love & Politics is being shown in Germany for the first time.

Anna Opel is a writer, cultural journalist and translator living in Berlin.

Azad Jafarian is a screenwriter and filmmaker based in Los Angeles.
