Of waiting and longing, of love and frenzy

Out of the mists of the past, a ship of war returnees sails into the present. At its head is Odysseus, with bloody hands from the years-long battle for Troy. He passes familiar figures such as the one-eyed Cyclops, the sorceress Circe and the singing sirens. Will he ever see his wife Penelope again? The gods seem to have other plans...

The second oldest saga in the western world combines humor and depth with astonishingly topical themes: dealing with suffering and guilt, the power of courage and loyalty and, last but not least, the coming and passing of love. Peppered with fascinating parallels to modern times.
