In the small seaside resort of Amity Island, a ravenous shark terrorizes the inhabitants and spares no one who dares to enter the water. The mayor, obsessed with profiting from the swimming season, refuses to close the beaches until a child loses his life. When the fake beast is killed, they realize that the real killer shark is still on the loose. Together with a shark hunter and a marine biologist, the police chief sets off on a dangerous journey to protect the town from the menacing predator. A nerve-wracking showdown on the high seas decides between life and death.
