OUR FUTURE

In a society that is predominantly shaped by older people, young people rarely have a say. But they have questions, demands and visions. Who takes responsibility for the future? Who decides and who bears the consequences?

Based on a joint research process with young people, the new trouble team addresses these questions about responsibility and scope for action: what does it take to raise your voice despite unfair starting conditions and the power gap between generations?

In OUR FUTURE, dancer Laura Schönlau invites the audience into a speculative training space. In the midst of a fragile construction, she practices attack and defense and tests what it means to stand up for something and make your voice heard. Accompanied by the voices and perspectives of the young people, a polyphonic solo unfolds between speaking plainly, demanding, withstanding the headwind, dreaming and acting.
